’Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Spoilers, Cast: Orlando Bloom Vs Johnny Depp For Lead Role?

Since the first movie, fans have been aching for the funny, weird and adventurous antics of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. Now, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is happening. Disney is planning a reboot instead of a sequel. Which begs the question, who will take the lead role this time?
Both actors made their mark on the franchise through their acting careers. Both Bloom and Depp will star in Pirates of the Carribean 5 but Disney took a different approach in the casting. Instead of Depp reprising his role as Jack Sparrow with the lead role, the reboot will focus on Bloom's character Will Turner.
The fifth installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, focuses on Captain Jack Sparrow being pursued by an old rival - Captain Salazar. Salazar and the whole crew escaped from the Devil's Triangle and is set out to pursue Jack. Jack, in search of protection, is on a quest to find the Trident of Poseidon - a powerful artifact that grants the possessor control of the seas. It is unclear how Orlando will be taking the lead character reference if the story arc will revolve around Depp being chased once again.
Depp has had the lead role since the initial movie. According to reports, Depp has been the lead actor in the whole franchise since the beginning but Orlando Bloom will be taking over that nameplate. Depp is currently experiencing a personal challenge through the divorce with estranged wife Amber Heard and his features are slowly slipping away with age.
With that in mind, the industry is looking at Bloom to be a much more physical and active fit. Orlando Bloom is known to be dedicated in keeping himself fit. At one point, he showed off his six packs on the beach. Fans are looking to see the same ripped bod in Pirates of the Carribean 5.
Watch out for Pirates of the Carribean 5 to be released in theaters on May 26, 2017.
