Every third sunday of July is National Ice Cream Day, and for many of us, that means free ice cream today.
U.S. President Ronald Reagan created the event in his celebration of National Ice Cream Month in 29 years ago in 1984.
For those who are in love with the frozen creamy sweet treat, we here at Jobs & Hire created a list of locations to obtain the free/cheap icy cream delights:
- New York City's Free Ben & Jerry's: Ice cream trucks will be going around the streets of New York City. Check out where they will be headed next on their website!
- DC Scoop: Enjoy some tasty frozen dessert samples in the district's 3rd annual event. For National Ice Cream Day, they are also celebrating with a Kid's Ice Cream Eating Contest! Talk about loads of free ice cream!
- Burger King: From now until August 5, drop by a Burger King and get an ice cream cup/cone for just 50 cents.
- Baskin Robbin's Free Waffle Cone: Freshly baked waffle cones will come free with a Double Scoop at participating locations from July 1 to August 31.
- Herrell's: Children under 12 can bring in a signed drawing of their favorite ice cream treat on letter paper to get a free ice-cream dish or cone. One freebie per present customer though.
