The main rapper of Korean boy group 2Pm, Ok Taecyeon, has recently confirmed the splurging rumors about their band, saying they once spent one million Won for eating bbq alone.
In his recent guesting at the JTBC variety show "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" together with Ga In of girl group Brown Eyed girls, Taecyeon said their group's appetite for food is just immeasurable. In the official video released by JTBC on YouTube, host Kim Sung Joo asked the 27-year-old singer-actor about the food splurge, which was almost tantamount to $906 in one single transaction, and he affirmed.
Ga In also shared she once witnessed the group eat and it was such a revelation, "One time, I saw them eat a hundred lamb kebabs." To which Taecyeon seconded, "I ate 40 by myself." However, to everyone's surprise, Taecyeon even clarified that the meal was consumed only by four members of the group. This admittance left the mainstay hosts and chefs in the studio shocked.
To the group's defense, the young rapper explained there was a time that they really worked out a lot, and to replenish their energy, they had to consume a generous amount of food. Taecyeon's extensive appetite also got noticed in the reality cooking show "Three Meals a Day," where he was a mainstay together with actor Lee Seo Jin. Together, they cook and eat food as planned by the production staff; however, at the same time, they work to earn and splurge on their favorite meat dishes.
Meanwhile, Taecyeon has also confirmed on the show his interests of enlisting for the army as an active soldier. According to the singing idol, he will most likely enter the army next year. Fans, however, were both saddened and concerned as their idol has previously been determined by the government as someone only fit to be a public service worker.
