Famous Korean boy band MBLAQ's supporters were horrified as a picture showing the group's precious awards being sold in the streets recently went viral.
With reports from allkpop.com, a solid "A+" spotted the trophies sold in the streets alongside used guitars, baseball, and other cheap finds as if they were no importance. Dismayed, the fan posted a photo of the awards which caught other supporters' attention.
Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality or simply MBLAQ is a well-adored boy band formed by Korean singer-actor Rain, under J. Tune Camp. Since the group's debut in 2009, J. Tune has been MBLAQ's official music label. With their undeniable talent, MBLAQ has achieved numerous awards and nominations, particularly their very first music show trophy from "M! Countdown" and TV series "Strong Heart".
However, fans identified that even the first plaque received by the group has been on display in the flea market.
Fueled by rage, fans accused J. Tune of throwing away precious MBLAQ awards. In response, the recording label released an official statement thru message denying the allegations. It was posted and disseminated on various sites like allkpop.com.
J. Tune denied disposing all those trophies and even asked the photo uploader where the said awards were spotted. As translated, based on the message sent by the company, they were unaware that certain trophies were taken out of J. Tune office.
They also plead to fans to stop speculating and sharing the photos as it would bring harm to the band's image. Rumors have it J. Tune will investigate the issue.
Meanwhile, fans were still disappointed on some blogs saying it was "wrong" and "embarrassing".
MBLAQ originally started with five members namely Seungho, G.O, Mir, Lee Joon, and Thunder.
On December 16, 2014, Joon and Thunder left the group and focused on their individual careers.
