Bermuda Triangle clouds can explain the mystery behind disappearing planes and ships.
A new theory suggests that the clouds are link to "air bombs" is the reason why planes and ships disappear in the triangle. Researchers used a radar satellite imagery where they found hexagonal shaped clouds that's 30 km to 80 km wide, News.com.au reported.
Randy Cerveny, metrologist, stressed that the satellite imagery is bizarre because of the hexagonal shape of the clouds. He explained that are called air bombs that forms microbursts that blast in the air.
Cerveny explained that the air blast could be around 273 kilometers per hour. This kind of blast is similar with hurricanes that can sink ships and drown planes.
For centuries, the notorious Bermuda Triangle has been linked with a high number of unexplained disappearances of aircraft and ships in its waters. It can be found on Bermuda Island which can be found between Miami and Puerto Rico.
Yahoo News reported that the Bermuda Triangle has always been linked to supernatural creatures and events. People associates the triangle to Loch Ness Monsters, Chupacabra, time warps and alternate dimensions.
They explained that the clouds can also be found on United Kingdom's North Sea. Scientists Steven Miller said that this doesn't only happen on in United Kingdom but can also happens in different parts of the globe.
Miller explained that this is a common global phenomenon. It happens in mid to high latitude locations on oceans during cold seasons.
Cerveny stressed that this is not a big breakthrough. He explained that this is not and was a bit manipulated.
However, the news site explained that it's still not every day that scientists unlock the code to decade old mysteries. They are hopeful that scientists will be able to find a way to figure out Earth's mysteries.
