On the other hand, one of the professor at Tokyo's Waesda University, Toshimitsu Shigemura, who focuses on Pyongyang leadership told 'The Telegraph' that Ri's public disappearance could be for her own safety. As it was reported that there was an instability in Pyongyang and even several attempted attacks which included the factions of North Korean military against their dictator, Kim. Ri was in public views numerous times together with his husband, Kim Jong-un. In 2012, she appeared 18 times, 22 times in 2013 and 15 times in 2014. Last year, her public appearance was decreased unexpectedly at seven. Apparently, she has not been seen in public for seven months and made a public view thrice this year.
