Ronda Rousey, former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, gives in to the enticement of returning to the WWE, probably after her upcoming UFC fight in December 30.
Chief brand officer, Stephanie McMahon, expressed her desire to put Ronda Rousey back into the wrestling drama following her impressive guest appearance in Wrestlemania 31. Ronda Rousey's WWE display in 2015 certainly left a good impression among fans and co-entertainers alike. According to a report cited by Bloody Elbow, McMahon is looking forward to a revenge storyline with her and revive the 'rousing' but short-lived femme rivalry.
However, this WWE deal can only be completely guaranteed if Ronda Rousey will have more room for other commitments in the near future. Coincidentally, a related chronicle by New York Post claimed that UFC president Dana White revealed a very strong possibility of Rousey's upcoming retirement.
Furthermore, White expressed clear signs of Rousey's future declining stardom in UFC after reaching the peak of her mixed martial arts career. On the bright side, she has already made a sizeable fortune in UFC.
Interestingly, there seems to be more than just the element of fulfillment that caused Ronda Rousey to muse about retirement in the sport. The same exact sentiment was manifested during her depressing upset defeat against Holly Holm in UFC 193.
The upcoming UFC 207 pits Ronda Rousey against the current title defender, Amanda Nunes. During her interview with television host Ellen Degeneres, she mentioned that her duel with the reigning champion may most likely be her last mixed martial arts fight.
Apart from WWE, Ronda Rousey has filled notable roles in the film industry. She once starred in Expendables 3, Fast & Furious 7, and Entourage. She currently holds a total stellar MMA record of 12 wins and 1 loss. She has successfully defended her UFC title for six consecutive times.
