NetherRealm Studios announces its recent plans to delay the scheduled release of their pending video game project "Injustice 2". An industrial action is allegedly staged by voice cast members lined up for the video game sequel, resulting in a temporary setback in their overall timeline.
The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists formally demands new provisions for the existing 20-year old contract. Incidentally, NetherRealm Studios did not provide further details concerning the nature of the strike.
While the full-swing production is subjected to an unspecified hiatus, developers are currently entertaining avenues to further improve the overall quality of "Injustice 2". In an account published by Yibada, developers are intent on augmenting the game mechanics with RPG-style elements.
In a similar report by Lazy Gamer, "Injustice 2" reveals the possibility of including 'first-person shooter' elements in the overall system. Nonetheless, an official statement from NetherRealm Studios has yet to confirm this rumor.
It pays to take note that "Injustice 2" is not the only game that is experiencing a setback. The much awaited third installment of "Mortal Kombat X" downloadable content (DLC) has also earned the disappointment of avid fans. Given the fact that the current development of "Injustice 2" is being extended, NetherRealm Studios will have a lot of catching up to do.
On the bright side, creators guarantee that "Injustice 2" is definitely worth a wait. This sequel introduces stellar casts from the entire DC Comics universe. NetherRealm Studio's lead designer, John Edwards, assures fans of a whole new gaming experience.
Celebrated Justice League villains like Ra's al Ghul, Darkseid, and Harley Quinn make a fine addition to the latest game franchise. "Injustice 2" also incorporates characters outside of the Justice League realm such as Dr. Manhattan and Rorschach of the "Watchmen" series, Western comic antihero Jonah Hex, and even the Gothic exorcist John Constantine.
