The five members of UK band One Direction will team-up with their fans to help fight against bullying.

Zayn, Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis utilized their Twitter accounts and other social networking sites to encourage followers and fans to spark up social change particularly with regards to the growing issue of bullying.

The band partnered with retailer Office Depot in an interactive back-to-school anti-bullying campaign wherein limited edition items will be sold.

These items will feature specialized images and statements that have to do with the theme of their campaign.

As of late, One Direction has already gathered approximately 75 million followers combined on Twitter. This number surprised even the members of the group.

It was reported that Justin Bieber for instance only has 42 million followers and Katy Perry has 40.2 million.

According to sources, this is a great opportunity to recognize the fact that bullying has become one of the biggest social issues in the world today.

One Direction's popularity would definitely be a great help to prevent and encourage people to put an end to this problem.

The Directioners, or the 1D fans rallied by posting anti-bullying photos and using the hashtag #Together which symbolizes team spirit.

The money that will be raised in the campaign will be used to fund educational campaigns that will foster knowledge and action by school officials and students to put an end to bullying.

As of July 31, the hashtag #Together has already been used 30,000 times and it is expected that the digits will continue to grow on an hourly basis.

One Direction has also set up a website where Directioners and other site visitors can see the photos created by fans that features any one of the five band members.
