The New York police is investigating Canadian pop star Justin Bieber after claims that the star started a club brawl in a Hamptons club.

The night out of Bieber and his crew ended in a brawl and resulted to the hospitalization of another club goer. The brawl, according to eye witnesses, started in the VIP lounge of the club where the 'Baby' singer and his entourage were seated. The brawl later continued at the car park, reports say.

A video of the incident shows the 19-year-old singer looking very agitated after a rock was thrown at his SUV. Other men started landing punches on each other but Bieber did not make any physical contact.

Southampton police say they are trying to see if Bieber told his bodyguards to attack Wayne Rennalls. Police sergeant told the Post, "That would be part of the investigation, whether Bieber directed them or not."

The Daily Mail reports the argument started when 22-year old Wayne Rennalls went over the VIP area to get his bow tie back. Prior to the incident, Rennalls gave his bow tie to a waitress who complimented him for the tie. Rennalls apparently wanted the tie back but as he followed the waitress to the VIP area, Bieber's entourage stopped him. A source says, "justin was flashing all these girls with his flashlight. The girl with the bow tie went over to Justin and Wayne followed because he wanted his tie back. Then Bieber's people got in his face."

"We thought it was all over, but it escalated outside when we heard Bieber yelling and talking shit. He was screaming in Wayne's direction, 'Punk bitch!'" the source adds.

The young singer took to Twitter a day later dismissing the incident with Rennalls as a rumor.

While Bieber claims the brawl was just a rumor, it cannot be denied that the singer has been demonstrating pop brat behavior. He was seen urinating on a janitor's mop bucket in a swanky New York club prior to the Hamptons brawl.
