It has been three years since Michael Schumacher's skiing accident that caused him a deadly injury. Although many are still hopeful of his recovery, it may take a long time to see him in the tracks again.
Schumacher was airlifted to hospital underwent two life-laying surgeries and placed in a medically induced coma. He remained in the coma for six months before being taken to his home in Switzerland.
Ross Brawn, a good friend of Michael Schumacher and has worked with him in seven championship titles, revealed in an interview that despite all the negative speculation regarding the legend's health condition, there has been some progress. "All I would say is there is a lot of speculation about Michael's condition, most it's wrong and we just pray and hope every day that we continue to see some progress," Ross Brawn told BBC Sport.
This is after a report from lawyers that his condition had not improved. They had revealed that Michael Schumacher was still unable to stand or walk with the aid of therapists, reported Daily Star.
Micheal's family had to come in the open that they were forced to deny reports that Schumacher was walking again last year. The whole family is hoping for the media and fans to respect their privacy.
The star's loved ones are facing financial problems as of now they are trying to raise funds to support the medications and therapies of the German racer. A Mercedes E55 AMG car, previously owned by Schumacher, was reportedly up for sale with a tag price of £516,524. Michael Schumacher's medical bills are said to have reached £115k-a-week at one point and totalled £12million.
Michael Schumacher won his first world championship title on Nov. 13. His family posted in his official Facebook page the epic win. That post was then accompanied by a hashtag #TeamMichael. For now, let's just keep hoping for the progress of his health.
