"Fullmetal Alchemist" is the newest focus of the live-action film industry. A live-action film for the said title is slated for release in 2017. Given that not many live-action films did justice to their source material, how will it go for "Fullmetal Alchemist?"
The fact is, "Fullmetal Alchemist" is one of those anime series that has made its mark in the hearts of many fans. Its beautiful animation and intense storytelling have resulted in a large fan base and much respect for the title. Hence, it is understandable that a live-action film will be based on this animated series.
In all honesty, live-action films and anime don't have a good history as per Box Office Buzz. If we look back at the latest anime-gone-movie title, "Attack on Titan", many fans felt that it was really bad. Although it is worth mentioning that those who watched the movie without a background on the manga or the anime series found it entertaining enough.
One of the most notable live-action films that can be called a success is the "Samurai X" live action film series. However, the same success cannot be said for most live-action films based on anime. With that being said, many fans are worried about the "Fullmetal Alchemist" Live-action film. With all the respect that fans have for the popular series, the live-action film simply needs to do it justice.
The live-action film for "Fullmetal Alchemist" is slated for release in 2017. Rumor has it that the upcoming film will be jam-packed with amazing CGI effects, which is definitely a must if they really intend to bring alchemy to life.
Another live-action film that fans did not appeal to very well is "Black Butler", needless to say, it did not do Sebastian Michaelis justice. Much like the "Attack on Titan" live-action film, fans were not pleased on how the story went.
With regard to "Attack on Titan" live-action film, the effects were impressive and all. However, the real problem with that film is the fact that they strayed too far from the anime and the manga, thus making fans feel lost and confused. Not to mention they totally left out a fan-favorite character - Levi.
The good news for "Fullmetal Alchemist" live-action film is that it will be directed by Hiromu Arakawa, the creator, and artist behind the manga. This means that there is a huge chance that the live-action film will stay true to the source material and thus deliver what fans really want.
