In Japan, Niantic Inc. increased the spawn rate of one of the rarer Pokemon in "Pokemon GO" with Lapras in 2011 tsunami affected areas in the region of Fukushima. According to some updates the "Pokemon Go" event could be a promotion for more future location-based activities. The game developers are currently modifying the features of the app, and possibly, this is another redefinition in progress.
Meanwhile, "Pokemon Go" developers are lending a hand on the victims of 2011 tsunami, the purpose of Special Lapras Spawning Event is to draw more tourism in the area. It is also a first for Niantic Inc. to do this kind of isolated event.
In a report by GamenGuide, it says, "the Japan-specific event may also be a sign of Niantic's future planned gameplay activities". "Pokemon Go" location-based bash will bring players in locations where they can catch specific Pokemon only.
The report is supported by Forbes, "they're testing out the concept for future events like this, ones that may have less to do with charity, and may serve instead to be big promotional vehicles to get people out to catch something super rare, like the Legendary Birds, Mew or Mewtwo."
Identically, the two reports could serve as evidence that indeed Niantic Inc. is planning again a new major gameplay for "Pokemon Go". It's interesting to see how this will lead the game in the future.
Hopefully, avid gamer fans would be able to catch more legendary Pokemon through this. It will help drive more people in specific areas where the "Pokemon Go" monsters will spawn. As well, rank up the game app since its popularity loss the last months.
While, the Latest Japan-exclusive 'Pokemon Go' Spawn Special will last until Nov. 23, 2016. It may be late for some to get their tickets for a Japan visit, everyone can just aspire that this will happen again possibly next in your own places.
