It is a sad day for "Detective Conan" fans because the TV special of the famous anime series was delayed. Fans were excited about the upcoming special edition as it will give a whole new light from the beginning of the series.
The delay was put to light after Honya Club posted a different release date for the TV special. This post has been put down but there has been no statement of the airing date regarding the TV Special.
The TV special titled "Detective Conan Episode One: The Great Detective Who Shrank." It was known as "Case Closed" in North America and was first set to air on December 9, then was changed to December 12. The story is for the anime series' 20th Anniversary, where it tells about what happened before Shinichi Kudo was turned into a child, Itech post reported.
It is not just "Detective Conan" that is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The anime series "Cardcaptor Sakura" is also celebrating its 20th anniversary. In line with this anniversary, creators of the hit shoujo manga will have the remake of the show.
Jobs and Hire reported that fans will finally see Lee Syaoran confess her love for Sakura Kinomoto. The story will take off after Kinomito and Syaoran's elementary graduation.
The plot of the TV special will focus on the events before Kudo and Ran Mouri were on an amusement park in the first episode. After this, Kudo encountered Gin and was transformed into the child. The story before the encounter was never fully explained, leaving fans baffled on what events took place before Kudo and Mouri went to the amusement park.
According to Anime News Network, the TV special was managed by manga creator Gosho Aoyama. It is reported that the original crew of the TV anime came back to do the special. Shunichiro Yoshihara, known anime shows like "Bakuori" and "Attack of Titans", will be the art director.
"Detective Conan" talks about a famous high school detective named Shinichi Kudo who was transformed to a kid named Conan Edogawa. Kudo as Conan still solves ghastly beheadings, bloody murders and child abductions, while finding the gang who turned him into a child.
