Lionsgate Productions are planning to do another sequel for the movie series "Twilight." With the looming end of "The Vampire Diaries," many fans are speculating that the ex-couple Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will star as the new Bella and Edward Cullen in the upcoming film.

Enstarz reported that Lionsgate Productions announced that they are planning to add more films in the "Twilight" and "The Hunger Games" franchises. This is due to the fact that both were box office hits and has potential to expand.

Peter Wachsberger who is the chairman of Lionsgate even went on to mention that if the "Twilight" author creates another great story for a sequel, his studio with sure produce it. Due to his statement, fans got excited over the idea of seeing former real life couple Kirsten Stewart and Robert Pattinson, back together on the big screen.

However, a different former real life couple is said to be starring in the sequel. According to a report by Inquisitr, Nina Dobrev left the set of "The Vampire Diaries" to look for movie roles that will further boost her career.

She also revealed that she wanted a role in the "Twilight" series and also mentioned her happiness for the franchise's success and that their series exists because of the movie. Ever since fans found out about Nina Dobrev's "Twilight" inclination, speculations surfaced about who will play as Edward Cullen should Robert Pattinson not reprise his role.

The name that surfaced most is no other than Ian Somerhalder who plays as the lead star in "The Vampire Diaries." Not too many offers have come his way since his series so making a movie might be a good idea to boost his career.

However, being his wife Nikki Reed plays the role of Rosalie in the "Twilight" movies, this rumor will most likely not happen. Besides, Jobs & Hire previously reported about the actress' pregnancy and that Nina Dobrev is jealous about it, so the chance of them working together is really slim.
