Netflix's new show "A Series of Unfortunate Events" has revealed that a new cast member and many fans know him from the recently wrapped up series "How I Met Your Mother." Neil Patrick Harris who played the legendary Barny Stinson will be the Unfortunate Count Olaf.
"A Series of Unfortunate Events" is slated to air in January 2017 and the producers have been very generous with teasers and trailers. In fact, there is a new trailer heading our way next week and it will reveal loads of juicy bits from the upcoming Netflix series.
Although there is already a trailer scheduled for release, the HIMYM star has started posting photos of his character on his twitter account, sporting different costumes and looks. Count Olaf is a dastardly old man who is willing to go to the ends of the world just to get his hands on the Baudelaire inheritance.
It is worth mentioning that the film adaptation of Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" seems to be very similar to Netflix's new series. This left fans worrying about the possible storyline and growth the series is set to feature.
However, there are a lot of arcs spread out over the books and those parts were not featured in the film adaptation. As per Slash Film, the upcoming series will be able to tackle all the adventures Violet, Klaus, and Sunny had, and then some. ScreenCrush was actually able to nab the official Netflix Synopsis for the upcoming series.
As for Neil Patrick Harris, he seems to be planning on keeping the sneak peeks coming as a countdown for the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" trailer release. The "How I met your Mother" star posted this recent tweet:
Fans of Harris' previous project "How I Met Your Mother" are excited to see the transition of Neil from a happy go lucky Barney Stinson to a greedy, grumpy geezer. While the much-awaited trailer will be released on Thursday, the show's premiere is on January 13, 2017. Stay tuned to Jobs & Hire for more updates on Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events."
