Updates on the release of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is that the show's airing will be again delayed. This time there are speculations that fans should expect a 2017 release.
According to iTech Post, the co-creator of the show, Dan Harmon, said that they're "going as fast they can." He also said that he's not authorized to give updates on the exact airdate of "Rick and Morty" Season 3.
Fans have been bombarding Harmon and his team on when "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will begin airing. Everyone is expecting a grand launch this year, but only a month left in 2016, time is running out.
The show's writer Erica Rosbe said that they already finished the script. But the problem is due to the grueling animation process of the show, which is what's causing the delay.
"We ended four weeks ago, I think. I think they're done soon, they're done really soon," Rosbe said. "I think in a week or two they're going to have screenings in the production office."
But one Reddit user thinks that the show won't be airing anytime soon. Invesrse reports that Reddit user PopDavid has begun warning users not to expect "Rick and Morty" Season 3 to come out this December.
PopDavid claims to be a Design Assistant in the show and he said most reports that are coming out about the show has been exaggerated or inaccurate. In an October post, he said that the rumors that are coming out about the writing of the show being complete already are not true.
PopDavid said that staff writer Dan Guterman and his fellow writers keep putting information that's not entirely accurate. Guterman tweeted last October that they're almost complete with "Rick and Morty" Season 3's script.
At this point, PopDavid is advising followers to anticipate a 2017 premiere instead. Whether the show will premiere before 2016 ends or at the start of 2017 one thing is for sure, the airing of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 can't get here soon enough.
