Zayn Malik and Liam Payne of the British boy band One Direction auctioned off their bedtime onesies to raise money for charity.

Zayn and Liam's hand decorated pajamas went to a very lucky American fan. The duo's onesies were sold for a hefty amount of £7,000, according to Birmingham Mail.

European clothing brand OnePiece in cooperation with CAW Foundation founder Rob Langley-Swain, organized the whole event. The auction was part of a global event called "OnePiece2WorkDay," wherein thousands of people wore the laidback clothes to work.

Zayn and Liam are no strangers to charity work. The British heartthrobs together with other members of 1D, helped raised millions for the UK charity 'Comic Relief' as part of their annual 'Red Nose Day.'

Liam and fellow band mate Harry Styles, also have active participation in Trekstock. The charity supports young people diagnosed with cancer. Trestock aims to raise funds for research and awareness through fashion and art collaborations, organized trekking experiences, and music.

Zayn has also lent his talent to raise money for the expansion of Bristol Children's Hospital. The talented lad decorated a giant Gromit sculpture that went on display in Bristol, England as part of a ten-week art trail for the hospital's fund raising.

When asked about the Gromit art project, the pop star said, "I'm absolutely delighted to be able to lend my support to Gromit Unleashed to raise funds for Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal."  He continued, "Being asked to design and paint a Gromit was an absolute honor and despite being busy on tour, it's given me something to look forward to on my down time in between shows. My house is going to feel a whole lot emptier and a lot less green without it!"

Nice to see these young superstars use their fame to reach out to those in need. The boys of One Direction are now enjoying their break after finishing the US leg of their 'Take Me Home' tour last August 10.
