Jake Pavelka, the 'Bachelor' of Season 14 has expressed his shock and disbelief, following the sudden death of former contestant and finalist Gia Allemand, who was one of the contenders to win Pavelka's heart.
Vienna Girardi, the cattiest among the contestants who managed to win the heart of Jake , was also equally stunned by the 29-year old model/TV personality's fate after spending only two days in a New Orleans hospital. Gia was reportedly found by boyfriend NBA pro star Ryan Anderson and brought to the hospital Monday, in which she was in critical condition for a 'medical emergency'. She was pronounced as brain dead and shortly after, Allemand was removed from life support Wednesday.
Jake Pavelka may not have had a romantic connection with Allemand but they developed a friendship that blossomed even long after the show was over. "I had to pull over, I can't stop crying. We have lost an angel.", he tweets. He goes on to release a statement, saying: "She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. And a very dear friend. My heart goes out to her family during this very difficult time." His last words on Twitter were, "I miss you Gia".
Allemand, the Maxim model was working as a Pure Barre instructor while she was in New Orleans. She was a New York native and moved to NO in order to be with her boyfriend Ryan Anderson, whom sources tell TMZ the reason as to why the 29-year old attempted to take her life.
Gia did not only appear once in the show with Jake Pavelka but also starred in the Bachelor Pad for two seasons and continued her career as a model, actress and a TV personality.
