A woman took out her anger at music mogul Simon Cowell during the finale of Britain's Got Talent by pelting Cowell with eggs. At first they weren't able to identify the woman but later on, sources say that she is a member of Britain's Got Talent's orchestra.
The mystery woman pelted eggs at the judge and was reportedly "smiling the whole time". It took some time before the shows security personnel herded her away.
The producers of the show tried to hide the egg pelting but it was already too late. Fans of Britain's Got Talent took to social networking site Twitter and discussed the egg incident. The identity of the woman is still a mystery, sources say but hosts of the show told their audience that the attack will be investigated.
Reports confirm that the woman walked into the camera's view and just pelted eggs at Cowell. One of the judges of Britain's Got Talent guessed that the mystery lady could have been a member of the orchestra. NY Daily News says, the lady was carrying a carton of eggs. She went right in the middle of the stage and pelted eggs at Simon Cowell.
The shocked judge had to pick egg shells and yolks off what he was wearing, reports say.
Cowell who is hated by many for his usually heartless comments praised contestants Adam and Richard Johnson for performing even if he [Cowell] was being pelted with eggs. "I think you could win this competition after that," Simon Cowell told the Johnsons.
Although the Johnsons did a good job in their performance, the mystery egg-thrower got more attention than they did. One fan tweeted: "The egg thrower should have won...What an aim!" Another fan wrote on the social networking site: "Egg girl is a legend!"
