‘Batman’ News & Updates: Ben Affleck Excludes Catwoman In Upcoming Movie?

When fans heard the announcement in 2015 that Ben Affleck will play the role of "Batman" in the DC Extended Universe, the reception was quite mediocre. Following "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," news about the exclusion of Catwoman in the solo movie seems like another wave of disappointment.
Since Batman was first published by DC Comics in 1940, all fans recognized who the first two villains were - Catwoman and the Joker. In fact, anyone who subscribes to the canon storylines would consider the immense contribution of the feline antagonist throughout more than several decades of cultivating Batman's character.
It is only natural for fans to expect Selina Kyle to cross paths again with Bruce Wayne in upcoming movies. Unfortunately, a story featured in Australia Network News underscores the exclusion of Catwoman in Ben Affleck's next film.
A report published by Comic Drops alludes to the remote possibility of Catwoman still appearing in the next "Batman" movie. After all, it is still too early to draw conclusions given that there is no official release date or trailer being circulated.
For now, it may seem that Ben Affleck plans to concentrate on Bruce Wayne's ongoing positive chemistry with the Amazon princess Diana Prince. An article published by Jobs & Hire discusses how Wonder Woman and Batman's characters are singularly developed to pave their grand entrance in "Justice League."
Curiously, the first appearance of Catwoman alongside Batman in a motion picture is portrayed by Julie Newmar in the 1966 "Batman" television series. In 1992, Selina Kyle is portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer in "Batman Returns" - the first movie where both she and Bruce Wayne are seen together.
Her first solo film was played by Halle Berry in 2004. Her last appearance as Bruce Wayne's neutral ally was in 2012's "The Dark Knight Rises," with Anne Hathaway putting on her leather suit.
