Steven Seagal Now A Russian Citizen; Vladimir Putin Recognizes Actor One Of His People

"Under Siege" actor Steven Seagal acquired his second citizenship when the Russian Head of State approved his application for citizenship. The 64-year-old actor and President Vladimir Putin met at the Kremlin where the actor was given his duly-signed passport.
The American actor was so ecstatic when he finally acquired his second citizenship. The Michigan-born actor's roots came from Russia.
9News reported that Mr. Putin said he desires a good relationship between U.S. and his country. He hopes that the ratification of his citizenship will pave the way towards that end. Steven Seagal bowed before the Russian leader while uttering his words of gratitude. The "Mercenary for Justice" actor assured the U.S. that he is not giving up his American citizen.
Meanwhile, a representative of the Russian Pension Fund informed that he is now entitled to the same state benefits of the country. That means the actor when he reaches the age of 65 will be receiving a pension from the state. That is if he will stay in the country more that his stay in America says RBTH.
Steven Seagal needs to establish a registered address in the country. He also needs to have at least a seven-year job record to avail of the pension benefit.
In a way, the Hollywood actor has the right to become a Russian citizen because his family hails from the country. He was born in the U.S. and made a name as a great actor in the country.
In the current year, the actor has released three action-packed movies. "The Asian Connection" is about a pair who stole a drug lord's money so an Asian gang was after him. "Sniper: Special Ops" is about a rescue mission of a congressman kidnapped by the Taliban group. "Code of Honor" is about a military man waging war against criminals.
Steven Seagal was granted a Serbian citizenship earlier this year before he applied for the Russian one. Before he was granted a Russian passport, he planted a tree in a sports complex in Sakhalin, Russia showing his friendship with the Russians.Stay tuned for more Hollywood news.
