Niantic will be giving its fans and players a huge present this Christmas season as a host of updates for "Pokemon GO" will be coming this December. Players can expect a lot of new Pokemon, a player-vs-player battle system and more.
According to VentureBeat, an analyst from PokeVS said players can expect more than 100 new normal and Legendary Pokemon to become available to "Pokemon GO" this December. Mew and Mewtwo are among the Legendary Pokemon that players can expect to arrive.
Aside from new Pokemon, players can also expect a player-vs-player battle system, allowing "Pokemon GO" players to go head-to-head against each other. Players will also be able to raise their Pokemon after they hatch, similar to a popular 90's pocket game called Tamagotchi.
Niantic has yet to confirm or deny any of the updates that the PokeVS analyst discovered. But company CEO John Hanke has repeatedly said that all of the features mentioned, plus real world events, will be part of "Pokemon GO" in the future.
If these updates to "Pokemon GO" are true, then fans and players will now have something to look forward to, which could help lessen the decline in players and even lure old and new players to play the game. Ubergizmo reports that paying customers of the game have been declining.
This is due to Niantic only providing decent updates to "Pokemon GO." These updates are not enough to get fans excited and look forward to something new from the game.
If the features mentioned above, plus the ability for players to trade Pokemon, will indeed become available this December, then "Pokemon GO" will once again catch the interest and excitement of the fans. With December just around the corner, people will soon find out if indeed the rumors about these updates are true or not.
