To support the latest games being played in the web, AMD regularly updates its Radeon Software Crimson Driver in keeping with their commitment to provide continuous updates for current games. The company has kept its promise by recently releasing another hotfix driver in November.
As reported by Tom's Hardware, the new hotfix driver supports the latest games as they are played on their release days. This means that the Radeon Software Crimson 16.11.5 driver can support "Watchdogs 2" by Ubisoft as the game is released on November 29.
In a report by Benchmark Monitor, there might be some game crushes and screen sputtering but these are not serious defects and their occurrence depend on the equipment used like the dual RX 480 GPU's running in CrossFire. In addition to the day-one support for "Watch dogs 2," the new driver includes support to "Dishonored 2," The Division and Battlefield 1 using Direct X 11 CrossFire Profile and its improved version.
At least, users will not worry too much when playing new games in their computers since AMD has been updating on a regular basis the much needed software updates to run their favorite games. Users must keep themselves informed when the updates are released or are due for release.
Another thing to watch for is the information AMD publishes together with the released updates. No updates are without defects so users must know beforehand the problems they might encounter when using them.
AMD usually furnishes the users with a list of the issues that the company still needs to address despite the release of new updates. One problem with the Radeon Software Crimson 16.11.5 is that a few games will not launch when Raptr's game overlay is in play. One can find such list at the page where the release notes are situated.
When downloading, users must check the operating system they use since the Crimson Edition Driver packages have different versions depending on the OS. It is advisable to check the AMD website for this so you can enjoy playing "Watchdogs 2."
