With just a month after the new Marvel movie "Doctor Strange" has been released, it seems like it was a success after stats shows that it now topped the Single-Character category of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "Doctor Strange" outshined the long-standing single-character film, "Iron Man," and so fans are now rooting for the second installment.

Benedict Cumberbatch, the lead star of Marvel's "Doctor Strange" is overwhelmed with the outcome of his new movie. Being able to surpass the standards of "Iron Man" was difficult, but then now they have made it to the top.

Deadline reports that "Doctor Strange" got a $616 million earnings worldwide, and this milestone was achieved even if the movie was released just last week of October 2016. On the other hand, "Iron Man," the previous record-holder just garnered $585 million, leaving almost $30 million behind the recent records of "Doctor Strange."

Since it has been just a month, the team which handled "Doctor Strange" is still hopeful that they can also beat the record of the first release of "The Guardians of the Galaxy." It is quite easy for them to hook the tiara away from "The Guardians of the Galaxy" given that their record is just $737 million. Now, the team just have to work on the remaining hundred million dollars to get to the real top.

The records have spoken that fans are indeed asking for more of the "Doctor Strange" stories. IGN reports that the breaking of the global record would make Benedict Cumberbatch return for the second installment.

By basing the story from the Marvel Comic Book, fans are hoping for more thrilling disclosures especially about the scene where Thor appears. Alongside this, Marvel fans are also looking forward to seeing the very handsome Benedict Cumberbatch in the next Thor, "Thor: Ragnarok."
