"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will be the last and final season of the series and Elena Gilbert might be reappearing in the series. However, Damon Salvatore, Stefan and Bonnie Bennet may not be around to reunite with Elena.
Parent Herald reports that TV Executive Producer Julie Pleec and her team are preparing the fans for the rising excitement on the reawakening of Elena Gilbert who is played by Nina Dobrev. Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and Kat Graham who plays Damon, Stefan and Bonnie, respectively, might not be joining Nina Dobrev when she returns.
However, since this is the last and concluding season, anything can happen in the storyline. TV Line said Producer Julie Plec has emphasized that in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7, Elena Gilbert's diary was kept alive with help of Stefan Salvatore and she will have a very prominent presence.
The design of the plot was to make sure the diary is ready when Elena Gilbert, who was not in the last episode, wakes up in the next sequel. The storyline also reminds the fans that the diary is the focal point in the story.
In the forecasted storyline, Elena Gilbert wakes up at the time when people associated with her are not there. It appears that she will appear in the movie apart from the three characters. Producer Julie Flec hinted that with or without Nina Dobrev, whether Ian Somerhader, Paul Wesley, and Kat Graham will join her or not, the film will have a superb and memorable ending.
Furthermore, it is also possible that Elena Gilbert will finally find her diary and narrate the end of the Mystic Falls crew. There are fans who still do not believe that Nina Dobrec will make it back to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Wondering how the story will finally end makes the fans yearn for more excitement and drama in the final episodes of the series.
