Jill Stein Raised More Money for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton Recount More Than Her Presidential Bid

Jill Stein raised enough money to recount election votes in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Stein was the Green Party Nominee for President of the United States in the 2016 elections. The Green Party is an independent political party, although none of its nominees has won any office in the federal government. During the elections, Stein did not carry a single state and has less than 1.5 percent of the popular votes.
According to her website, Stein already raised $6.3 million, which is very close to her goal of raising $7 million for the recount. For a comparison, Stein raised only a paltry $3.5 million during her recent presidential campaign (Time).
With her dismal campaign performance, Stein is obviously not in a position to demand a recount. She was interviewed in 'The View' where she was pressed for reasons why she wanted a recount. She explained that the paper ballots in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania should be checked for any "tampering," "machine error," "hacking," or "human error." Stein also stated that the three states have "red flags" for inaccurate results. When asked if she can prove those allegations, Stein stated that recount is necessary and if she is supporting Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, to "help voters feel like we've got a system that's working for us" rather than to "help one candidate."
Jill Stein echoes the accusations of the President-elect Trump. Donald Trump tweeted that the election is marred by fraud, even though he won the race by significant electoral vote margin and failed to submit any concrete evidence of cheating.
The Green Party promotes green politics and Stein was an environmental activist during the late 90's. It is to note that, according to a Daily Beast article, Stein and her husband disclosed having significant cash investments in index and mutual funds that also invest in big oil and coal companies.
