Joe McKnight's Tragic Death; Former USC Star Shot To Death In Louisiana

On Thursday afternoon,Joe McKnight, a former USC running back was shot to death in Terrytown,Louisiana.The man who killed McKnight is 54-year old Ronald Gasser.
According to LA Times ,Police Officials said the killing could be a road rage incident. After the investigation, Gasser was released from custody.
In a press release,Sheriff's spokesman Col. John Fortunato said there were no charged against the suspected gunman .Gasser is still under investigation. Because of this, many were outraged and a protest against Gasser's release was made.
NOLA.com reported that a witness in Terrytown saw a man shot Mcknight multiple times near an intersection. According to the witness, the other man kept on yelling at Mcknight who was trying to apologize.He then pulled a gun and shot Mcknight many times.He paused and gave the last yell before he made the last shot.
Police authorities said Joe Mcknight was killed on Dec 1,2016 at 2:43 p.m. Gasser shot McKnight three times from inside his car using a semi-automatic handgun while the football player was standing outside.
Joseph Nathan Mcknight played in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He was nation's No. 1 running back recruit in 2006 and went on to play for University of Southern California, USC Trojans.
McKnight was the youngest player to join New York Jets in 2010.He had a great football career and displayed an amazing talent.He also played for Eskimos and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. McKnight had 2,755 yards and 17 touchdowns in total.
McKnight's early death left many people wondering that another young life was lost. Early this year, another NFL player Will Smith was killed in a road rage incident.
Though McKnight's life was cut short, people won't forget his accomplishments both as a player and as a person. In the word of one of his, USC teammates.
