Brian Wilson is back in the game, and so is his beard.
After his Tommy John surgery, Brian Wilson made his first league appearance on Thursday, only to be questioned if he could shave off his beard for a more presentable, soft-shaven appearance during play-offs. The pitcher refused to remove his signature look on Friday, adding that he is willing to take his beard 'to the grave.'
A razor blade company, 800Razors.com, recently offered Wilson to shave off his abundant beard in exchange for $1 million dollars; however, Wilson's agency shared to TMZ that the player didn't take the offer seriously.
"I don't care how much money is on the table... nobody's cutting me!" said the pitcher through the statement released by his agency, adding that the player's beard will be "going with him to the grave."
The said offer also talked the 31-year-old into becoming the company's endorser and brand ambassador, which he also refused.
Co-founder and president of 800Razors.com Philip Masiello confessed that Brian's company told them that they ought to match the baseball pro's $1 million salary to be considered by him; nevertheless, the actor didn't seem to be interested in either of the offers.
The Dodgers star player is part of the L.A.s roster of players, but is set to appear on the series finale only. The 31-year-old did really well in a game against the Miami Marlins, despite tossing a scoreless ninth inning.
Many claim that the game wasn't that much of a big deal for him since he was only asked to sub Clayton Kershaw, finishing the game with a 6-0 victory in favor of the Dodgers.
As expected Brian Wilson was in his No. 00 uniform, and his pitch reached 94 mph against fastball past slugger Giancarlo Stanton.
