The third episode of "The Affair" Season 3 indeed brought the viewers both thrills and chills as it tells a story in the perspective of the new character Juliete Le Gall. The said chapter revolves around her eyeing for Noah, unveiling part of her character and history as well as helping out the latter as he was found bleeding in his home.
A story of extramarital affair and how it affects each character's lives, "The Affair" is said to be more serious this time as it also shows another exciting twist on Noah's life as per The New York Times. The episode began with a French-like theme that greatly showcases Juliete's character and ended up like a psycho-thriller with Noah looking on the streets for the Prison guard whom he thought was stalking him, added the report.
The episode mostly talked of Juliette's affairs including her desires to sleep with Noah as she tried luring him for a sex upstairs in the dinner party in her home. As well as her reading Noah's book 'Descent' earlier the day as she prepared for the dinner, where she sat and touched herself. However, some details seem to change from Noah's perspective during the premiere including his clothes and the moment when Juliete led him upstairs.
There, both Noah and Juliette had a chat where the latter revealed that she has a husband back home (France) who was a big deal medieval scholar and her former professor. The conversation turned into a sensual scene as Juliete began kissing Noah. Nevertheless, Noah broke from their kiss which made Juliete walk her way downstairs to see both Mike and Audrey still talking to each other.
The episode also revealed that Mike is having an affair with Juliete and in fact had sex with her. Audrey, on the other hand, was talking earlier about having a sexual intercourse with her professor and even confesses that Noah makes her frantic with his writings.
After which, Juliete was seen talking to her husband via Skype, which according to Entertainment Weekly is a heartbreaking scene. Her husband was described as old and a victim of dementia. Juliete, despite the heartache, discovered the jacket left by Noah which bears his address.
Juliete went to his place only to find out her dream guy was bleeding endlessly. She took him in the hospital and there he woke up anxious of his situation. The nurse told him what happened and that her wife is waiting for him.
Noah, expecting it to be Alison, his second wife who for still unknown reason broke up with him, was disappointed to see Helen, his ex-wife who's not really over him yet. She constantly asked him what happen but the latter didn't fully remember.
The episode 3 ended on Noah's hospital scene with flashbacks of his days in jail where he met the prison guard John Gunther who claimed to be his old swimming buddy. His fond of Noah for months was said to have turned into violence and anger as he saw a photo of Alison on his writing desk. Moments also began to return into Noah's mind including that of the prison guard. He called the detective (who came for interrogation a day before) stating he's now got an idea of who might've attacked him.
