Fans of the popular political drama series "House Of Cards" Season 5 can't wait to see more of Frank Underwood and his rivals as they pursue their political ambitions in Washington. However, with critical politics as the show's theme, how will the upcoming change in US Presidency affect this season's plot?
For years "House Of Cards" has intrigued fans and peaked the interest of many viewers with the show's manipulative characters in a world where only the fittest survive. The show is definitely unpredictable and this theme will carry over to the upcoming "House Of Cards" Season 5 with its air date being next year. Despite the amazing acting of the cast as they prosper or fail in a dog eats dog world, the new President the country has incoming might not mean well for the series.
According to Game N Guide, President-elect Donald Trump is inevitable coming into office soon and he is more unpredictable and possible unorthodox as compared to the characters in "House Of Cards" Season 5. With this kind of political drama happening in real life, many believe that the deviousness and thrill of the TV show will pale in comparison.
Frank Underwood's dirty tricks and some other methods that include gas lightings, blackmails and even murders are likely based on the techniques used during the time of the Clintons. Now that a new president is in office, things might start to get old for fans of "House Of Cards" Season 5. It is likely that the evening news might hold more surprising political drama than what the Clinton-based plot the TV show has to offer.
Basically, real life politics in the United States may start to be more interesting and engaging than that of a TV Show such as "House Of Cards" Season 5. According to iDigitalTimes, results might be better if the showrunners would adjust based on the sudden political shift. This way, the plot, and characters will stay fresh and more importantly, relevant to present day politics.
In a recent report in Jobs & Hire, it was mentioned that "House Of Cards" Season 5 is already locked up by Netflix and eventually renewed the show for a fifth season on January 28, 2016. As for the premiere date, a specific one has yet to be announced, what we know so far is that the season would premiere in 2017.
