Olympic silver-medalist Nancy Kerrigan appeared in an interview, the first after almost three years, on the Today show, and discussed personal matters including the death of her father, and the incarceration of her brother. Most importantly, the forty-three-year-old skater discussed the attack that would change her standing in the Olympics in the 1994 Olympics.

The notorious attack, which was planned by contender Tonya Harding and executed by Shane Stant, a hired hooligan sent by Harding's former husband Jeff Gillooly, happened on January 6, 1994. Kerrigan was attacked while she was practicing for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. A video of the attack showed the skater being clubbed on the knee.

After almost twenty years, Kerrigan explained how much hard it still is to watch the footage of the assault. "Watching anything sort of horrific, it's disturbing to see anybody in pain. To think it's me, it's lifetime ago. It hurts to see anybody in such pain. It's a long time ago. I just moved on," the Olympic skater said in her interview with Matt Lauer on the Today Show.

The injury that she sustained because of the attack did not prevent the Olympic skater to compete at the Olympic games Lillehammer. According to Kerrigan, some people are up until now convinced that she should have emerged victorious. In her interview, Nancy Kerrigan disclosed that some fans still come to her and talk about the notorious attack. "I only got second place by .1 ir something so I think a lot of people really thought I should have won, so twenty years later you just think, 'Oh, she must have won,' she explained.

It was Oksana Baiul who bagged the gold medal during the Olympic games.

Touching on more personal issues in the Nancy Kerrigan Interview, she intimated that the cause of his father's death was a heart attack and her brother should not have been incarcerated for it. "That's that," she said referring to his father's cause of death.

"I have stepped out o the limelight. I drive and cook and lean now, that is basically what I do," she reveals.
