Rumors of infidelity and domestic abuse surrounding the couple's union became the main pivotal point for Faith Hill and Tim McGraw's alleged $135 million divorce, the National Enquirer reported on Monday.
After 16 years of what seemed to be the perfect marriage, the country superstars seem to have encountered a truly formidable bump in the road, which hindered them from reaching their blissful happily ever after.
According to insider information, Hill had apparently resorted to putting restrictions on her husband's social life and relationships and forcing the singer to cut all ties with friends Hill deemed to be negative influences.
McGraw had sobered up and refused to communicate with all of his old pals, including fellow country star Kenny Chesney but the restrictions had not stopped there. People close to the couple shared that problems had started to escalate when Hill became paranoid and lashed out whenever rumors of McGraw being friendly with any woman reached her.
On top of this, Hill also earlier demanded that McGraw put his Nashville ranch up for sale which had allegedly first sparked talks of separation.
The most recent marriage bump came in the form of 23-year-old Taylor Swift whom Hill had allegedly caught her husband flirting with. The teen and McGraw appeared in pictures together for a recent major music event, the two having grown friendlier after catching up during the show.
People close to Hill shared that this recent rumor of McGraw's alleged fling with the young country star had caused another jealous meltdown from Hill. The latter had insisted on McGraw's apparent infidelity, consequently pushing her husband away and deepening the wound on their struggling relationship.
According to the National Enquirer, this latest episode had greatly added to McGraw's dissatisfaction and intensified his consideration of ending the union once and for all.
However, spokespersons from both Hill and McGraw's side continue to deny the claims, reporting that the speculation of a divorce was unfounded and ridiculous.
