'The Last Guardian' News, Updates: 'Ico' and 'Shadow Of Colossus' Fans Are Making Switch!

Games like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus set the path for the hype of the arrival of "The Last Guardian." Now that it's already here, it is generally reviewed with optimistic applause.
"The Last Guardian" is another installment a game angled towards the aesthetic story-telling side, similar to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus which caused numerous players to cry both in sadness being touched by the story and applause for its captivating plot. "The Last Guardian" is no different as the game looks as though you're playing a series of moving paintings with its art style, as reported by VG 24/7.
The game tells the story of a young boy covered in tattoos and a massive and odd creature with fur and wings, Trico. The structure of the game requires the player to interact with Trico and the environment while playing as the young boy. Trico eventually becomes the companion of the protagonist, helping him out with most of the obstacles and in figuring out where exactly they are. As the player progresses through the game, the story slowly unfolds as the context of the world of the game is revealed.
"The Last Guardian" is not shy about the legacy it follows as it plants look backs and a few surprises that would make fans of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus nostalgic. Running the game with a second play through allows the character with the option to feed barrels to Trico, which unlocks in-game outfits and memorabilia. Most of the barrels are well hidden so during the second play through, players must keep a close eye on the placements of these items, as reported by News Everyday.
The featured unlockables include a medal for Trico, as well as outfits for the protagonist. Costumes like the outfits worn by characters in Ico. And even in Shadow of the Colossus becomes an option for players to customize their character with, so long as the player has found enough barrels to unlock these hidden perks.
