All the Duggar girls over 20 have tied the knots, except Jana Duggar, the eldest daughter, which prompts speculations on why she hasn't done so. Words have it that she's been forced to take care of her siblings and work hard so they don't have to.
After Joy-Anna Duggar announced courtship with Austin Forsyth and Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo, the attention shifts to the family's Cinderella, Jana Duggar, 26. She's now the only remaining single adult daughter of the "19 Kids and Counting" Duggar family; Jill and Jessa have long been married.
The Hollywood Gossip points out that since all her adult sisters have the family of their own, Jana Duggar is left with no choice but to shoulder the "woman" chores at home. The Duggars are known for upholding the traditional approach, like assigning specific tasks based on their gender. So Jana is now in-charge of cooking, cleaning, and housekeeping.
As if her younger brothers and sisters are not enough responsibilities, the family has added a 20th child. And who will be left taking care of little Tyler, Jim Bob and Michelle's nephew, but Jana again.
Meanwhile, Jana Duggar, who is turning 27 next month, has shared with "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" why she hasn't gone public about her courtship. She said that she has not found the right one yet, despite having a couple of suitors.
"There have been different guys come along and ask, but they haven't been the right one. It's just one of those things. I'm not just out to get married to the first one who comes along," she told the "Couting On" camera.
"It can be tempting, like, 'Oh, I really want to be married,' because in those moments, your siblings that are married and have little ones are going on dates and doing their thing," she shared, according to The Stir. "It's like this weird in-between stage. I'm not a younger one, but I'm not an older, married one with kids."
