Klay Thompson of Golden State Warriors with 60 points in just 29 minutes joins the legendary Rick Barry, Wilt Chamberlain and Joe Fulks as the only Warriors to reach that 60-point mark.

Rick Barry, who scored 64 points in a game for the Warriors in 1974, happens to be a big fan of Klay Thompson, who scored 60 over Pacers last Monday. Rick Barry scored 64 points against Portland Trail Blazers on March 26, 1974. But the NBA Hall of Famer did it before the addition of the 3-point line. He made 30 field goals and four free throws.

Rick told Sirius XM’s NBA radio in his interview last Tuesday, why he is in awe of Klay’s off the chart 60 points. He said Klay amazed him not just about the points, but also the efficiency. In the fact that Thompson got all his points in 29 minutes, Stephen Curry last year and Gilbert Arenas in 2006 had the previous best point total in less than 30 minutes of play, 46 each, according to  Basketball Reference.

“That’s pretty amazing,” Barry said to CSN Bay Area. “He’s one of the most explosive players in the game. Obviously with a 37-point point quarter that he had, that’s phenomenal. This is another amazing performance on his part.” He said that it just shows people what kind of team the Warriors are, wherein when somebody's going good, they're going to get the basketball.

Barry compared Thompson's shooting with Stephen Curry's. He stated that Klay is just an amazing player. Barry strongly added that whenever he hear people talk about the quickness of Steph shooting the basketball, he wants to tell them "Look, I think Klay may even be the quicker shooter than Steph Curry.”

He also said that whenever Klay is going, he (Klay) got the size going for him, which is better than what Stephen has. Barry then ended the interview saying that the only way to stop Klay is just like what the opposing coach says, "You got to keep the ball out of Klay's hands."
