It seems that Nintendo fans will finally be getting what they have been wishing, Nintendo is finally allowing users to play games from GameCube through its Virtual control service.
That's right, the reports are one hundred percent true, GameCube is supporting this idea and it's unsurprisingly working perfectly fine. According to Gamespot, three games from GameCube are already being prepared, these first three games are three of the most played and popular games the following are "Super Mario Sunshine," "Luigi's Mansion," and "Super Smash Bros. Melee."
Meanwhile, GameCube's "Animal Crossing" is currently in the works as well, it is also one of the most popular games; but what's really interesting about this news is that "Animal Crossing" has a lot of NES popular classics that players can acquire within the game - such as Donkey Kong, Mario and Zelda. If this works, users can finally be able to play an imitated NES game within an imitated GameCube game on their Nintendo Switch everywhere.
Furthermore, it was also reported that Nintendo might possibly be working on finding ways to support Wii U's GameCube Controller adapter, but the company is still uncertain about this for now. Eurogamer attempted to talks about this but Nintendo refused to discuss or say anything about the matter as of now.
Right now, everything is on the hands of NERD (Nintendo European Research and Development), developing and making sure that everything is going to turn out well and become a success.
Nintendo allowing users to play GameCube games on the console is such a big move yet super exciting, because Wii U does not support games from the console. The company also stated that there are more to come soon, but not to expect anything yet from them until January 2017, where they will reveal and talk about the console's price, specs, and more during the event.
