Carson Huey-Yu, the youngest freshman student at a Fort Worth university, is majoring in Physics to realize his dream of becoming a quantum physicist. Carson Huey-Yu is taking a full load of subjects including physics, history, calculus, and religion for his first semester - and Carson is reportedly towing his mom along to class, NY Daily News stated Wednesday.
Although Carson Huey-Yu looks like any average 11-year-old kid, - enjoys playing video games, watching cartoons and animated films, and wresting with his 7-year-old brother, Canaan - do not be fooled, for Carson Huey-Yu is the youngest student ever to attend Texas Christian University, NBC 5 in Dallas-Fort Worth reported earlier.
According to a Huffington Post report, Carson Huey-Yu is aspiring to become a quantum physicist someday, and perhaps that someday is anytime soon, adding that Carson might even have his PhD accomplished before reaching the age of 20.
"Whenever you are like 'Oh, that makes sense now!' Just kind of after going at it, going at it, it's just kind of like that one moment of thought," Carson said.
Reports stated that Carson's mom, Claretta, takes him to his class everyday, ensuring that the young prodigy doesn't lose his way inside the campus.
Carson Huey-Yu had a very impressive interview to match his 1770 SAT score; however, before he could even land an interview at the University, he faced a few challenges including his inability to apply online at the age of 10 because the school's software does not accept student applicants born in 2002 as of late.
News.com reported that Carson attended high school while he was still 5 years of age. "He was completely off the grid when it came to even the most basic of things, like completing an application or completing a financial aid form," Dean of Admissions Ray Brown said in an NBC 5 interview.
During the interview, Carson said. "It's fun because it's basically just like high school, but in a big campus...with a lot more people."
"[Carson] is at a place that will genuinely care about him as a person," Brown told 360.
Aside from 11-year-old Carson Huey-Yu, 360 mentioned that his parents, Claretta and Andre, had already informed the University about his younger brother, who is already "already doing schoolwork at an eighth-grade level."
