Nintendo's "Super Mario" game is expected to make a grand debut on smartphones. It won't be released like a usual console game played with control pad but on Apple products.
The new iPhone 7 has just come out but it has already saved another surprise for its users. Everyone is aware that Nintendo's "Super Mario" is a popular game even in the older versions of play stations.
According to an interview with USA Today, the "Super Mario" game developer, Shigeru Miyamoto, admitted that he wants the concept to be easier to play than any other games. He also cited that the easy gameplay is the leading reason why Nintendo's "Super Mario" game is a renowned hit.
"We thought if we were to focus in on a game where you don't have to worry about controlling Mario with the plus (shaped) control pad, and instead you could just focus in on Mario's jumping, then it would make the game simpler for a wider audience to enjoy," Miyamoto said.
The "Super Mario Run" features the World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom Builder modes. These modes, however, limits the access of the user. Although it is free to download, the user will have to pay $9.99 in order to access all the levels.
The World Tour mode is similar to the typical gameplay mode of the "Super Mario" games. It does not need to be controlled because the character automatically moves from left to right. The iPhone users would just have to tap on the screen to let Mario jump through the obstacles.
The Toad Rally mode allows the players to compete with friends. Players who will win the Toad Rally get to have their personal Mushroom Kingdom that will be modified in the Kingdom Builder.
Meanwhile, Business Insider reported that the "Super Mario" game will not be available offline. The player needs to have internet connection in order to get into the game. Just like other famous games, "Super Mario" requiring an internet connection will avoid piracy concerns and development issues.
The developer assured that there will be no concerns regarding the gameplay features. Nintendo's "Super Mario" game will be available on the App Store on Dec. 15, 2016.
