“The Bachelor” is going into its 21st season next year, and this time, Nick Viall will be the one handing out roses as 30 women compete for his heart. Recently, Chris Harrison previewed the upcoming installment, and the series host spilled the beans about Viall and the women to watch when the show premieres in January.

Speaking with Yahoo TV, Chris Harrison said that he sympathizes with Nick Viall, who has been disappointed several times in his quest for love.

“I feel bad for the guy,” said Harrison. “He sincerely wants to find someone to spend life with, but he’s been incredibly unlucky in love and has had his heart broken on national TV so many times.”

Fans of the “Bachelor” franchise can recall that the 36-year-old was a contestant on both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s seasons of “The Bachelorette.” On both times, he almost came close to being named as the winner, but Viall was the runner up on both installments. This year, the software sales executive appeared on the third season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” and while he failed to find love once again, he was named as the next “Bachelor” at the end of the season, as previously reported by Jobs & Hire.

Harrison also spoke about some of the contestants and named five women to look out for in "The Bachelor" season 21. The host said that viewers should tune in to watch Raven Gates, Rachel Lindsay, Elizabeth Sandos, Corinne Olympios, and Alexis Waters.

Gates, 25, is a boutique owner from Arkansas and Harrison describes her as a “straight-shooting, no-nonsense Southern belle.” Lindsay, 31, is an attorney from Dallas and the host finds her to be smart and very professional. She is also said to be someone who female fans can root for. Meanwhile, Sandos, 29, is a doula who met Nick a few months ago at a wedding.

Olympios, 24, is said to be very interesting and well-off woman who runs her parents’ multimillion dollar company. Spoiler site Reality Steve dubbed her as the villain of the season and claims that the businesswoman wasn’t liked by a lot of the other contestants. As for Waters, the 26-year-old is an aspiring dolphin trainer who Harrison says has the most unforgettable entrance this season.

“The Bachelor” season 21 premieres Monday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
