Online celebrity and YouTube star PewDiePie has just deleted his YouTube channel just as he promised. But the catch is, he deleted his second channel and not the original one.
One of the virtual world's most shocking news of the week is the YouTube sensation PewDiePie's sudden announcement that after garnering 50 million subscribers, he will readily delete his channel. Arstechnica.com reports that this was made public right after the celebrity expressed his grief over the recent decisions made by the YouTube management regarding their suggested videos.
To cut the story short, PewDiePie was not one with the idea that there is a priority over recommended and suggested videos, which means there is a chance his viewers get to see more of the similar creators' videos than those of his. This personal issue grew even more personal as he thought of releasing a video that seemed like a "boycott."
All his avid viewers and fans got shocked and intrigued upon watching, of course. After laying out his plans saying he will delete his YouTube channel on Friday at exactly 12:00 pm EST if he hits the 50-million subscriber mark, the news has gone viral.
He did hit the mark and he did delete his channel. But guess what? He deleted his "other" channel. Yes, he had another one, apparently. This account is said to be named Jack Septiceye 2.
The subscribers indeed waited on until "the deadline" only to find a diversion. Forbes reports PewDiePie saying, "That was it. That was the joke."
The well-received Swedish comedian/video producer who is known for his commentaries and vlogs sure has made another mark on the virtual world gaining 50 million subscribers and at the same time keeping his original channel. This, indeed, is something that could be considered as one of the wisest online moves ever made to claim more fame.
