A new Moto phone named "Cedric" was found in various model numbers on Federal Communication Commission and is believed to be running the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.

The latest release of the now Lenovo-owned Motorola brand included the "G" series devices. While the launch of the Android 7.0 Nougat in their latest smartphones is pending, some images of what is believed to be a new Moto phone have spread out all over the web.

The Mobile Indian reports Roland Quandt of the tech site company Winfuture.de has revealed on Twitter that these mystery phones that are codenamed "Cedric" come in different model numbers such as XT1670, XT1671, XT1675, and XT1676.

Gizbot.com says this could mean that when Moto officially launches it, the phones will be released on a number of modifications. A few of the leaked information suggest a difference in memory, some in 2GB RAM with an internal storage of 16GB and some in 2GB RAM with an internal storage of 32GB.

The models are reported to vary in other features like single or dual sim feature and 2,800mAh removable battery power. Aside from the 5-inch display that has been visible in the photos, it is believed that the common highlight for all models is the newest operating system of Moto called Android 7.0 Nougat.

Dubbed by Android as their "sweetest release", Nougat has been known for having the most number of updated emojis, multi-locale language setting and multi-window view conducive for multiple applications. The OS also caters to a higher grade of virtual reality quality perfect for gaming and video streaming.

Although the rumors have not been confirmed true, the Moto "Cedric" is believed to be a perfect pair for Android 7.0 Nougat. And with the "G" series coming as well, the Android users have more to look forward to in 2017.
