For entrepreneurs, a long list of to-do stuff comes with the holidays. Entrepreneurs would have to make sure to jot down all family gatherings, friendly get-togethers and neighborhood parties in their calendars. Shopping for gifts and organizing an event for clients would also be on top of the list. Juggling all the extra holiday task is not an easy thing to do, so here are some tips for entrepreneurs on how to enjoy a stress-free holiday.
1. Learn from the past.
CEO and startup founder Chris Myers wrote in a Forbes article that entrepreneurs should know what to improve on. Re-evaluating your plans for the year should be part of the list. Looking back and reviewing what went wrong and what went right would help entrepreneur create a better plan for the future.
2. Appreciate people.
Giving thanks to people that made the year a better one should be a priority for entrepreneurs. Taking team members for granted should be a no-no. The holiday season is a perfect time to reward people for their effort and contribution to the company. Entrepreneur provided a list of ways to enjoy the holidays while minimizing risk, including recognizing other holidays aside from Christmas and making sure that nobody would get slighted.
3. Be grateful.
Entrepreneurs should appreciate family and friends and those who have supported them. Sending some thoughtful gifts and cards to friends and families is a way to show that they are valued.
4. Extend a friendly hand to competition.
It does not matter if the competition has been tough during the year or not. Entrepreneurs should be able to look past any competition drama and offer a conciliatory hand to competitors. Azcentral posted a gift guide for fellow entrepreneurs, which includes a roost laptop stand, a USB fan, Moleskine Evernote Smart Notebook, and other things that entrepreneurs would love to have.
