Zack Snyder is still intent on directing the sequel to the "Justice League" movie. But for now, he would like to focus on "The Last Photograph," his long-in-development thriller, and Ben Affleck's stand-alone "Batman" movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Snyder is still intent on directing the "Justice League 2." But after wrapping up filming of the "Justice League" movie, he wants to talk about "The Last Photograph" for now.

The movie, which Snyder created but was written by Kurt Johnstad, will center on a war correspondent in Afghanistan that will be the only survivor when their group is attacked. The project was set up in the mid-2000s but the rights have already lapsed.

Gianni Nunnari's Hollywood Gang is in the process of renegotiating the deal and sources are saying that their plan is to repackage the project and approach Warner Bros. They aim to start shooting the film in late 2017.

The Last Photograph would also serve as Snyder's short break from the superhero movies that he has been directing on of late. After the short break from superhero movies, Snyder will go back to filming them again, this time with Affleck's "Batman" movie.

MovieWeb reports that Affleck said the title of the movie could be "The Batman," but it is not 100 percent sure. On the other hand, Joe Manganiello, who play the villain Deathstroke, has been giving interviews about the movie, indicating that the movie is already full-steam ahead.

Manganiello is also claiming that filming of the movie will start soon. But there are other reports coming out that the script is still a mess so a lot still needs to be sorted out before a clearer timeline would be available.

There is a lot of hype, though, that's surrounding "The Batman," so it's best that the movie comes out before "Justice League 2." Jobs&Hire reports that "The Batman" will be available in June 2019, while the "Justice League 2" in November 2019 or early 2020.
