The Internet is an undertaking that you can pick your own adventure. We can get what information we ever wanted. Basically we see what we want. We choose our own digital experience.
People subscribes to any business on social media, if they identify a shared value. And then conclusively purchase from it. Onlooker's has a choice, and when they've choose your company, then you can finally leverage social media to build your brand through those shared values.
That is why the company should embrace the opportunity to let their employees accompanied them to build their brand together through social media.
Here are four basics you should start planning for:
Develop internal programs
Set guidelines. Be fearless. Allow or even ask the employees to get social. You may not aware of it, but in Facebook they are checking all in. They are talking to each other. They are making groups. Notice them, connect the dots by engaging to the employees, and get yourself involved. It's not going to like group hug approach like 'Big Brother,' but strategically cooperating in the way people communicate, will do reinforced connections with your employees and company to build your brand.
Shine the light
You should focus on your people. If you have interesting stories inside your barrier, mention and express to them Shine a light on the good your employees do for your business, your customers and in their communities. Get great photography, capture them. Record them a video.
Try the "sausage" analogy
Show the process of your business. Chop it into digestible bits of content to tell a story. Build a narrative. A short video of a manufacturing process won't sell your secrets, but it may build pride among your employees.
Stand for something
Be proud of what you do as a business. Build connections with your audience and expose your values. Discover your role in your company and establish partnerships that build and serve. Empower your employees to make it recognize through social media. Stand together, make a difference and give more people a chance to identify those shared values so you can build your business.
