The latest "Monday Night Raw" saw the Canadian group "The New Day" defeat Sheamus, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, breaking the record for the WWE's longest-running tag team once held by "Demolition."The trio of Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E overcame another challenge delivered by Stephanie McMahon cementing their position as the group with the longest tag team record in history.
According to Sky Sports, during the opening round of "Monday Night Raw," Kofi Kingston's finishing move on Irish star wrestler Sheamus that gave "The New Day" their victory. But because of their "over-celebration" that led to them spilling wine all over WWE Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon, who immediately had them fight another "Triple Threat" as punishment.
Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns team up against Xavier Woods and Big E who valiantly claimed victory and made history at the same time. The two-year WWE Raw stable "The New Day" now holds history with the most tag-team wins since their tag team streak from 2015.
In the backstage of things, the WWE Raw administration is quite set to place "The New Day" as the new tag team record-holder as they intend to push out "Demolition" due to a certain lawsuit the group filed in the past. According to AvClub, "Demolition" is part of the class-action lawsuit against the wrestling network and WWE is quite zealous to remove it from its records.
In other WWE news, Chris Jericho is to chase after Seth Rollins in Pittsburgh and defeat him during the weekend in "WWE Roadblock" on December 18. The Kevin Owens-Chris Jericho match-up as "Team Jeri-KO" also showed tension while in the ring with Owens telling Jericho to "shut up" just before Jericho unleashed his finishing move against Roman Reigns during the "Triple Threat" event. It was after Jericho walked out on Owens that Seth Rollins "pedigreed" Jericho near his limousine.
WWE stars are expected to give their best these upcoming holiday episodes and also in Hollywood. Narratives signal that 15-time WWE Champ John Cena may return after his filming for several star matches.
