Samsung Galaxy S8 Update: Goodbye Flats and Edges, Hello to Foldable Phones In 2017?

Following the headlines of the exploding Samsung Galaxy S7 series, Samsung had already come up with a fresh new start to forget 2016 and the dual edge S6 series with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8.
The Galaxy S8 will be available in 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch variants and both screens will have curved edges just like the Galaxy S7 edge. The Galaxy S8 will be Samsung's first version not to feature a flat screen but an all-screen display reported by The Korean Herald.
Choo Dae-young, the lead electronics analyst at the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics & Trade, stated that the demand for curved and edged phones is unlikely unsuccessful nowadays. He added that people tend to find it a nuisance to mistakenly touch the sides of the phone. He also said that bezel-less displays are made for televisions because it becomes less functional in smartphones.
Meanwhile, Peter Lee, analyst NH Investment & Securities added that Samsung is pushing the boundaries of efficiency. And that its perspective for effective and convenience is being gone by just design in mind. He concluded that Samsung should just make foldable devices suitable for both tablets and smartphones.
As recent reports said, Samsung is to develop the S8 series with a dual screen display that would seem like a tablet than a smartphone. Since the reports of the exploding phones had made a 96% drop in Samsung’s third quarter earnings, they take a step forward to another era focusing more on efficiency and effectiveness. They reportedly plan to release the smartphone in early 2017 to see the market’s response.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is said to be launched on Feb. 26 in Barcelona during a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. It will take place before the MWC 2017 officially opens.
