Not In The Mood For A Festive Christmas Film? 'Rogue One', 'Die Hard', 'Iron Man 3' Sure To Cool Your Un-Christmas-y Mood This End Of The Year!

A festive Christmas film always has a moral lesson and a heart-warming message of family, friendships and overcoming struggles. Sometimes, the festive, do-good movies do not really suit some moods. Luckily, "Rogue One", "Die Hard" and two of Robert Downey Jr's films can soothe your un-festive, action-craving mood.
Christmas films like "The Muppet Christmas" or even "Home Alone" just would not cut the season's too-whimsical mood for some moviegoers or bingers. There is a need for action. Bruce Willis in the first 80s "Die Hard" is a great action movie bet. Putting on a Santa suit on his first victim with a machine gun, according to Metro UK, with the "filthy white vest" is as iconic as a Christmas outfit for Santa's red suit.
A mystery and some dark humor during Christmas is a weird mix, but one that works wonders on some people who crave a little less giving and more laughing -- and guessing. That's where "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", a truly notable Robert Downey Jr film and performance with hilarious Val Kilmer, is definitely up your alley. In fact, KKBB Director Shane Black directed "Iron Man 3" and introduced that same black humor with some Tony Stark flavor -- during Christmas.
The list is not going only to old movies. This Christmas offerings for action and other un-festive films are abound. "The Magnificent Seven" -- a remake of the classic 1960's western imitation of Japanese Director Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" -- is worth seeing not just because you can see some Chris Pratt abs but it's the wild west. There are 10 other movies for 2016 worth seeing than festive films according to AskMen.
If you want to watch a film that is not so Christmas-y in this last week before the celebrations, "Rogue One" is showing in theaters nationwide. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will star Felicity Jones and her team of mercenaries who would save a galaxy under the mercy of the -- ehem -- villainous Galactic Empire without lightsabers or the "force."
