One of the most popular social networking sites, Twitter, has added a feature that enables 'Netizines' to share live video streaming to anyone. Twitter has introduced the ability to create live videos through Android and iOS applications with the help of Periscope. As compared with Facebook, Twitter also allowed users to livestream with a single tweet.
According to Gadgets360, the latest feature in the application update on Twitter will be provided by Android and iOS. Via the tweet button, the user will now discover three new options for allowing the addition of media content through the camera. By pressing the camera button the user will now be provided with the option to start a live video and of course to add photos and videos.
Kayvon Beykpour, CEO of Periscope, revealed that they envisioned giving users the ability to share live videos online and this could be an important step because it could cater to millions of twitter users. Twitter has been a place of worldwide updates, news, and other pools of information with the additional live video anyone could broadcast what is happening live. Furthermore, once the user selected the live video, it will be live streamed on the Twitter app and to periscope. The user can also stop the broadcast and even save the video directly on the phone's internal or SD Card memory.
However, as reported by iTechpost, is live streaming with Twitter is now possible without the periscope application? Twitter signed a partnership with Periscope and launched in the year 2015 to set the bar against other rival social networks. Looking back from March 2016, Periscope users have already created more than two-hundred live broadcasts. Currently, the contract between Twitter and Periscope is still valid and will continue to work with Periscope to enable users to use both applications to participate in live broadcasts.
