Advanced Micro Devices, or widely known as AMD, finally gave avid fans what they have been asking for: details of the new AMD Ryzen CPU code-named Zen. The company has been hyping fans with teasers and sneak peeks of the new CPU but as always, fans clamor for more information.

Yibada reported that the new CPU from AMD Ryzen will surely surprise gamers and tech-savvies on expectations that it will give them the performance that they want. AMD has kept the specs of AMD Ryzen under wraps, but some fans are speculating that it might be similar to one of Intel's quad-core desktop parts.

The AMD Zen CPU architecture, which is named Ryzen, will have an 8-core 16-thread CPU and will handle multitasking much better than its competitors, Arstechnica reported. AMD Ryzen is not expected to be able to reach the max performance of Intel i7-6700K, but it will be able to perform similar to that of Intel's 8C/16T Broadwell-E processor.

Jobs & Hire previously reported that AMD Ryzen is expected to compete against one of the best CPUs from Intel and Nvidia. AMD Ryzen is reportedly performing well in terms of clock speed, with AMD saying that it designed the CPU for optimized power, temperature and performance.

Forbes reported that AMD Ryzen performed well both in gaming and other professional applications, including video editing. While the price may not be an issue for avid fans who are dying to get their hands on AMD's new CPU, they will still be happy to know that AMD Ryzen is expected to be much cheaper than anticipated.

AMD Ryzen is expected to be priced approximately $800 or lower, which could be a bargain for fans who are willing to pay for good performance. AMD Ryzen will be released in the first quarter of 2017, so fans better prepare to line up to experience the AMD's new CPU.
